DONATE LIFE

To save a life one day as an organ and tissue donor, you need to discuss it today. Many Australians do not realise that, even if they have registered to be a donor, family consent will always be sought before organ and tissue donation can proceed. It is important your family know your wishes, and that you know theirs. Australia's current family consent rate is less than 60% - families that know each other's wishes are more likely to uphold the wishes of the deceased. Last year 247 organ donors gave 799 Australians a new chance in life. Today, more than 1700 Australians are waiting for a life-saving or life-transforming transplant.

DonateLife Tasmania invites you to help us save and improve more lives– Discover the facts, Decide about becoming a donor and Discuss your wishes with your family today. OK?
